Officers are able to account for and deposit evidence anytime, and the lockers ensure that only authorized personnel can access evidence that has been deposited. Police property lockers are available to law enforcement and public safety facilities in Memphis, Jackson, Oxford, Tupelo, Germantown, Dyersburg, Southaven, and throughout the state of Tennessee.
secure evidence lockers
Police property lockers come in 18 standard configurations and over 75 additional custom configurations for storing crime scene evidence. Customization makes the already flexible police property lockers even more able to adapt to your specific evidence storage needs.
Standard features include dual-latching mechanisms in the door frames (this leaves the inside of the locker free from protrusions that could damage crime scene evidence) and fully enclosed compartments to eliminate the risk of evidence spills or cross-contamination between compartments. Each unused compartment is unlocked and held closed by self-closers. When evidence is deposited, the user simply turns the handle and depresses the lock button.
Evidence lockers can be engineered-to-order (ETO) upon request. Custom configuration options include:
- Pass-through or non-pass through styles for all configurations: Pass-through lockers are locked with the push of a button and designed to secure the chain of custody for short-term evidence storage and allow officers to drop off crime scene evidence at any time without the need for them to handle keys. Evidence is picked up by the evidence technician through the master door. Non-pass through lockers allow evidence to be stored securely until retrieval.
- Refrigeration inserts can be added in lower-right locker positions
- Each police property locker can be built with various compartment sized to fit different evidence sizes and types
- Locking technology allows only authorized personnel to access and store evidence during the filing and reporting process can be installed in the lockers. This technology allows crime scene evidence technicians to track and document which officers accessed the lockers, which compartments were opened, and the date and time of every transaction.
