Prefab Modular Office Features

- 3″ thick walls constructed of modular gypsum panels with a polystyrene core, reinforced with painted steel frames, and then vinyl-covered
- Vinyl base molding for wall interiors and exteriors
- Wall panels are fire- and soundproof
- Doors (3’W x 7’H) made of 20-gauge steel with locks and ¼” clear tempered safety glass window
- Corrugated steel roof cover with support angles
- Drop-in ceiling using mineral fiberboard with white steel grid system and 6″ Fiberglass insulation
- Electrical components include fluorescent (4-bulb) light fixtures, duplex electrical outlets, a light switch, and a circuit breaker box
- Windows and HVAC optional
What is an In-plant Office?
An in-plant office is a modular panel-built office building installed into an existing space, such as a warehouse, factory, or manufacturing facility. In-plant offices are an ideal solution for a break room, storage area, shipping office, work area, observation area for supervisors, and more.

The Inplant Office Installation Process
Installing a modular in-plant office is quick, often in as little as a day. An overview of the installation process is as follows:
- Floor tracks are installed and anchored to the floor, marking off the perimeter of the building.
- Stud posts for the walls are preassembled.
- Walls are erected, with modular panels fitted into the floor tracks and stud posts and secured with cornice molds on top. Window panels are inserted as needed.
- Dust cover decking is installed across the top of the building.
- The steel door is installed into the frame.
- Electrical wiring is installed through the studs (note that electrical or communication lines can be added at any time during or after installation without the need for additional stud components).
- The acoustic ceiling is installed.
- A vinyl base is added along the wall panels.
