The area designated for storage was full up with crates that were hard to locate and retrieve. If by chance a container was stacked at the back of a set, a team of no less than three people with forklifts required three-quarters of an hour or more to shift things around and retrieve the desired crate. In addition to taking up a considerable amount of time, the labor-intensive retrieval system leads to a delay in the program’s production schedule because facilities were left waiting for the delivery of the crated components.

All are fitted with 14’ tall three-tiered shelf racks. Sized at 9’ wide and 47’ long, each has the capacity to accommodate between 20 and 30 crates that weigh as much as 39,000 pounds.
