Increase Storage Capacity
The vertical tire rack carousel saves space and increases on-site tire storage capacity. Traditional storage methods for tires are limited to the amount of floor space available in a warehouse. A single tire carousel unit can house up to 352 tires and occupy a fraction of the floor space compared to other storage methods.
A single carrier can store variously sized tires together and different tire styles, such as tires with and without rims. A vertical tire storage carousel can recover up to 70% of floor space by creating intentional vertical storage. The tire carousels can also have a second opening to load/unload tires to an upper mezzanine storage level.
The carousel’s small footprint maximizes your warehouse’s floor space by fully utilizing vertical space.
Increase Safety
Implementing the Product-to-Person principle eliminates wasteful and harmful steps for stocking and retrieving tires. The motorized tire carousel eliminates the need for ladders and other hazardous retrieval techniques such as forklifts.
The vertical tire carousel delivers tires directly to the operator at an ergonomic height reducing chances of injuries from lifting, bending, and pulling at sub-optimal positions.
Tire loading ramps are also available to minimize the strain of loading and unloading heavy commercial tires. Other safety measures include a fully enclosed system and mesh enclosure to preserve inventory visibility.
Increase Productivity
The automated vertical carousel can function with only a single operator. One person can rotate the carrier frames, locate the desired set of tires, stop at the proper position and safely and efficiently remove the product at floor level.
This easy automation speeds up tire retrieval time and overall worker hours. With only one operator needed, other workers can fulfill other duties while the carousel provides the necessary product to the operator.
Improved Security
The tire carousel prevents unauthorized access with a security keypad to control access. An optional horizontal security gate is available to protect tires further.
Features of Tire Rack Carousels
The tire storage rack carousel features a carrier constructed of three pipes in a triangular shape. Tires sit inside the bottom, with a limiter bar providing support and reference for tire sizes that will fit in the carousel. Each tire carrier features two tire dividers placed on the top bar to separate different types of tires.
