Asset Tracking Security Lockers
For most key storage systems, all keys are stored in a single compartment. If a user has access to the front door, then they potentially have access to all stored keys. The electronic key control cabinet uses sealed storage compartments for each individual key instead, ensuring that users only have access to those keys they have been authorized for. (See videos

Innovative Key Cabinets
Below are three various types of key storage cabinets to protect and track your keys. Each of the key cabinets below includes an RFID reader and key tags. Key compartment is 1.5″ x 1.6″ x 2.9″. These cabinets can be configured with different-sized compartments to store an assortment of items.
Optional Items: video camera, voice control, biometric reader, and magnetic card reader for a more secure combination lock option.
How the Key Cabinets Work
How does the system work? The user is pre-authorized to access specific compartments. When the key needs to be retrieved, the user enters a password or uses a biometric scanner or RFID card to identify themselves on the storage cabinet’s touchscreen interface. Here, the user selects the key they need to retrieve. It can also be required that users must enter the purpose of retrieving the key into the system as well. Once the user is authorized, the drawer containing the requested key will open along with the individual compartment where the key is stored. The user simply takes the key out of the compartment and closes the drawer, which locks automatically. Every transaction is recorded and can be viewed by a manager at any time. Wireless video cameras can also be integrated with the system for an extra level of security.

- Limit the number of keys a user can hold at one time
- Require users to report reason for key check-out
- Set due date and time for each key and send alerts to the user and managers when a key hasn’t been returned on time
