Types of Die Storage Racking Systems

Heavy-Duty Die Racks

Heavy-duty die racks provide fully customizable die storage, with the strength and flexibility to store dies of all sizes. The structural rack design offers optimal selectivity and convenient access to dies on the production floor. Dies slide easily on or off the high-strength shelves and have fork entry bars for forklift access.

The heavy-duty die storage racks feature a solid sheet metal shelf design that waterfalls over tubular beams supported by 2″ x 2″ horizontal cross bars. The unit is fully welded for shipping. A knock-down bar grating shelf is available as an alternative. Columns feature holes punched at 3″ increments for adjustable shelving, with custom position drilling also available. Gravity Flow Die Racks

Available in heavy-duty or light-duty configurations, gravity flow die racks are good for storing parts requiring quick access. Stored products flow from the back of the rack to the front on steel or PVC rollers. Optional features include multiple lanes, multi-directional configurations and locking devices.

Press Brake Die Storage Racks

Designed for storing press brake tools and dies, press brake die storage racks improve tool organization and can increase your storage capacity by up to 40%. The press brake die rack features fully extendable shelves with a capacity of up to 4,000 pounds per shelf and adjustable and removable tool holders. An optional shelf lock feature prevents more than one shelf opening at a time. Other options include a monorail beam for lifting heavy tools, a locking enclosure for loss prevention and a feature that locks an open shelf in position to prevent movement during access.

Die Rack Roll-Out Shelves

Several die rack systems feature roll-out shelves. The shelves glide out with 100% extension to enable overhead access by cranes or hoists. These die storage racks boast a capacity of up to 4,000 pounds per shelf, with manual, hand-crank and powered roll-out shelves available. Powered units feature a push-button operator station and low-voltage motor.

Optional features:

• Shelf auto-lock feature to prevent more than one shelf from opening at a time
• Shelf lock-out feature to lock the open shelf in position during access
• Backs or sides to enclose the unit
• Doors with or without locks
• Shelf lips to prevent tubular or rolling stock from rolling off the shelf
• Rear load or bi-directional configurations

Mold Die Storage Racks

Mold die storage racks feature a single injection mold storage shelf. The heavy-duty die rack shelving has a 15,000-pound capacity and motorized roll-out shelves with a 75% extension.

Tool and Die Carts

Several specialized tool and die carts are available for safely and conveniently transporting dies and tools. One efficient option is the four-wheel steering cart, which features a 25% turn radius reduction compared to traditional carts. It attaches easily to automated guided vehicles and is customizable to your application.
