The athletic world has a lot in common with the medical world. Players involved in close physical contact are susceptible to frequent injuries, including cuts, turf burns, and blisters, which can all lead to dangerous staph infections and other medical ailments. Stainless steel modular casework helps prevent the spread of these infections.

In a medical facility, you have stringent cleaning rules to help reduce the chance that a nurse or patient will contract an infection. The challenge is that the locker rooms and equipment rooms in athletic facilities – where the players store their gear, towels, and clothes – are not held to the same high standards as medical facilities, even though both places take care of injured people.

Due to the lack of protocol calls, infections can be a challenge in the locker. Stainless Steel Modular Casework reduces the spread of infections. Visit our online store to see our athletic storage products.

Stainless Steel is the Key

equipment room benches with stainless steel topsHealthcare facilities use stainless steel modular casework and work surface counters to help maintain the best hygiene standards possible. Stainless steel cabinets, shelving, work surfaces, fixtures, and benches prevent high infection risk in medical facilities.

Stainless steel cabinets and work surfaces are non-porous, so germs, viruses, and bacteria cannot get into the countertop work surfaces. Stainless steel is easy to clean and keep and stands up very well to chemicals and constant use.

“I have worked with Chuck on several projects since arriving at Kansas University. He is a top reason why I continue to come back to Spacesaver/Southwest Solutions Group for our storage needs. He has experience with several athletic equipment room projects and sweats every detail because he knows it matters to us. Chuck never hesitates to jump in when necessary to make sure the project is finished properly. He is prompt for appointments and puts in the extra time to meet deadlines. Several adjustments had to be made during installation and he kept us well informed we are pleased with the results. I’ve noted several points above that leave me with positive memories. The completed and immaculate new athletic equipment system along with its work counters and modular cabinets will be my most positive memory.”
