There is a wide variety of office filing furniture to choose from, and many of these options can be used with your existing shelving or can be customized to your exact needs.
Open filing shelves: With their open and vertical design, these shelves keep files organized in less space than lateral four-drawer file cabinets. They are also much more accessible to staff so they can find, access, and file what they need quickly and reduce the likelihood of misfiles. The open filing shelves require no extra space for drawers, and take up as much as 60% less space as filing cabinets. They also have completely adjustable shelves for storing notebook binders, file boxes, and office supplies.
Mobile shelving: High density mobile shelving stores your files, boxes, and office supplies in less space because it eliminates the need for extra space between aisles. The mobile shelving compacts together when not in use, and moves back and forth on tracks with the pull of a handle, turn of a crank, or push of a button. Because only one or two access aisles are needed at any given time, mobile shelving reduces used floor space by up to 66% compared to traditional lateral and vertical filing cabinets. The carriages can also be used with either new or existing shelving units to save on costs.
Rotary cabinets: These cabinets are double-sided and spin closed to store and secure files and other office supplies. Cabinets can be positioned directly next to each other or against the wall to save space. To access materials, the user simply presses the foot release pedal and pushes the cabinet into an open position with minimal force. When closed, the cabinets can be locked to secure materials. The rotary cabinets come in letter and legal sizes from counter height to 8’ tall.
Bi and tri-file sliding shelving: These shelves are placed two, three, or four deep to save space and slide back and forth on tracks for easy access. Shelves are stacked one in front of the other; to access the back shelves, simply slide the ones in front out of the way. These units eliminate the need for the extra space required for access units between shelving, allowing more room for storage. The sliding shelving can be configured with new or existing shelves to save on costs, and additional sliding units can be added at any time to increase storage capacity. The shelves are also completely adjustable, so you can store anything from files, boxes, bins, and more.
Retractable pull-out shelves: Similar to the bi and tri-file concept, he patented linear motion of these shelves are designed to provide space savings, increased storage capacity, security, and ease of use in one solution. By using the natural egress aisle in front of the shelving as an access aisle, the movable carriages easily slide in and out to access and store items. Since the shelving units operate independently from each other, multiple users can access multiple shelving units at the same time. Each unit can be customized with different depths and widths for optimum storage capacity and can be moved or added to without disrupting the adjacent units.
