Curved metal reference book shelving support whimsical approach
Curved metal reference book shelving was installed within the Children’s Library. Topped with laminate, the uniquely designed unit, was engineered to balance out the playful lines of the designer’s vision. Its diverse shape allowed for an aesthetically-pleasing look to be distinctly established, without having to diminish the whimsical feeling that was just as present with the inclusion of colorful wheel spokes. Units were lower in height and scaled down to make it ‘kid-size’ user friendly. The scanning and selection processes when browsing for books were made easy, as a result.
