Machine guarding systems protect people, machinery, materials and equipment from injury or damage. To comply with OSHA requirements, any machine that causes a potential hazard to employees must have a protective guard. You can implement many types of machine guards in your warehouse or industrial facility to ensure the safety of your workers and equipment.
Southwest Solutions Group offers the following machine guarding products:
Wire partitions guarding panels
Welding safety panels
Forklift guard rails
Collision awareness sensors
Pallet rack safety panels

Wire partitions are inexpensive, quickly installed, and very low maintenance. Wire fencing forms a perimeter around hazardous machines and equipment. These machine guarding panels form a barrier between personnel and machinery, keeping your equipment secure and your employees safe from injury. The machine guard fencing can also protect employees from malfunctioning equipment. Visit our online store to see our industrial storage products.
The machine guarding panels come in woven and welded wire mesh and solid sheet metal panel options, with models suited for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty applications. They are highly durable, with fully framed panels and industry-leading hardware. They are also compliant with OSHA and ANSI/RIA standards.
Wire partitions are commonly used in weld cells, robotic cells, press break equipment stations, laser cutting operation areas, metal stamping, and folding areas, punching stations, and many other industrial applications.
Another benefit of wire machine guard fencing is the customizable design. This machine fencing comes in modular panels that can be combined to form a custom layout according to your specific requirements. Optional features include hinged, double-hinged, sliding, or vertical-rise doors and safety interlocks.
Welding Safety Panels
Welding safety panels are designed to protect workers from exposure to the hazards of welding. When welding occurs in a facility, protecting the welder and other personnel that might pass by the area is essential. Welding safety panels block off a welding area to shield passersby from harmful welding arc flash, sparks, and debris exposure.
Safety panels are made of tinted acrylic screens available in different configurations and levels of transparency, designed to block welding flash and UV radiation. The durable, OSHA-compliant screens resist heat, spark, and flame.
Many welding safety panels are portable and can be easily assembled and moved throughout the work area for a versatile guarding solution.
Forklift guard rails are another safety barrier that protects workers, machinery, and equipment from accidents. These machine safety guards block off shelving, pallet racking, mezzanines, conveyors, or other spaces to prevent potential collisions with forklifts or other material handling equipment.
These machine guard fencing systems are powder-coat painted yellow and come in light or heavy-duty steel options, depending on your requirements. Single and double-rail options are available. The components bolt together, making these machine safety guards easy to install, move and adjust in the future.
Bollards are short steel posts that form safety barriers to protect assets from forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Like guard rails, bollards anchor to the floor and can protect pallet racks, machinery, electrical panels, walls and columns, and other areas from damage by forklifts. These durable guards are powder-coat painted yellow and measure up to 3’9″ high, with static and spring-loaded options available.
Collision Awareness Sensors
Collision awareness sensors prevent forklift-related accidents in your industrial facility. The sensors promote safety by alerting forklift drivers and pedestrians to potential collisions at intersections, such as doors and pallet rack aisles. They can mount to walls, pallet racks or hang from ceilings. When the sensor detects a forklift approaching, it flashes a red light (with an option for an audible alert) to warn other drivers or pedestrians nearby. This customizable safety system has many options to meet your unique requirements.
Pallet Rack Safety Panels
Pallet rack safety panels are wire mesh panels that attach to pallet racks to prevent stored items from shifting or falling and potentially injuring workers or damaging equipment. Learn more about pallet rack safety panels here.

“Working with Southwest Solutions including Matt, Susan, and especially Brad was great. They provide amazing customer service. Brad and the install team were especially great. Very professional, easy to work with, and did the work quickly and very well with very little input from us. If we need help with carousel storage moves, parts, or new equipment we will start with Southwest Solutions. ”
“The team at Southwest Solutions were nothing short of fantastic. First meeting with Craig, I received a customized design, in person, based on my office needs while still maintaining an efficient layout and being cost effective. Craig explained everything clearly, allowing me to understand that as modular mill-work, I would be able to move it if I ever changed offices, but without the added sales pressure to immediately make a decision. Once I had decided, I worked with Chris who assisted in picking out the finishes and scheduling the delivery and installation. The professionalism of Craig and Chris spoke volumes and I would highly recommend anyone looking to transform or fit-out an office to contact Southwest Solutions.”
“I want to let you know that we all really appreciated your team mentality, professionalism and dedication shown on this project. It was a pleasure working with you and your office and we look forward to many more. Please pass along my gratitude to everyone who worked on this project. Thanks! ”
“I just want to take a minute to let you know how good of a job your install crew did yesterday. They were quick, fast, courteous and very consensus during the install. They were awesome to say the least. Being in the service business ourselves, we know that you can never hear the words “Good Job” often enough. Please pass this along to your crew.”
