The main difference between the outdoor guard shacks and modular wall construction is that the guard shacks shipped fully assembled and pre-wired so they’re ready for immediate use. The booths are erected on a welded steel channel base frame with fork pockets to support the structure and VCT flooring. Outdoor guard shacks don’t necessarily have to be used for this purpose; the pre-assembled forkliftable offices are available in both steel and aluminum, with multiple panel options to choose from. Aluminum booths are moisture-resistant and generally best for environmental rooms and outdoor use, while steel systems offer durability and more load capacity for indoor use.
For indoor booths, any wall systems can be used with any panel option. This includes gypsum, steel, fiberglass reinforced plastic, cement board, soundproof, environmental resistant, and other types of panels. For outdoor booths, cement board panels are paired with a 3″ aluminum wall system for maximum durability and weather resistance. The outdoor booths include an exterior-grade corrugated roof with a perimeter gutter system and downspouts. Windows are also exterior-grade and can be fixed or sliding. There is usually no need for professional installers, since the offices are easily forklifted into place.
