Wire Partitions secure servers & company data
A leading provider of the most advanced network communications such as cloud computing and managed services to businesses nationwide was beginning to receive their customers' servers and computer equipment into their data center, and needed a better way to keep it safe and secure. Enclosed wire colocation cages were used as a contained area to secure data center servers and company data to keep the sensitive information stored on the server equipment safe.
long-lasting Secure wire cages
The data center divides their hosting facilities with secure wire partition server cages from Wirecrafters® across the country. These enclosed wire colocation cages are used to economically separate and secure customer specific server or networking equipment. The wire partitions are easily reconfigurable and utilize an open but secure design that allows free circulation of light, HVAC, and fire suppression systems throughout the secured colocation storage areas. The strong, durable, and aesthetically pleasing server cages are also an impressive factor for potential clients who pay attention to quality and security.

The receiving room at the company was outfitted with a secure server cage made up of Wirecrafter's Style 840 partitions. A 3' x 7' hinged door was installed at one end of the secured colocation area to allow personnel controlled access to the enclosure. At the opposite end, they installed a five foot sliding door to allow larger computer and server equipment to be brought into the area via a pallet jack. Southwest Solutions Group® installed the secure wire partitions around the shelving units that would hold the computer and server equipment. The company decided on a 10' x 5' 1/4" high secure server cage that would give them security for the underside of the ceiling joists.
The enclosed wire colocation cages were constructed of Style 840 partitions made from 10 gauge wire woven into a 2" x 1" rectangular mesh. The wire mesh is then framed into a 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" x 1/8" hot rolled angled frame. Depending on the side of the partition panels, flat stiffener bars can also be welded to the wire mesh and angle frame for added durability. The cages are designed with all hardware on the inside of the enclosure for maximum security. Ceiling panels are also available options to further increase the security of your colocation area.
