Grocery Pickup Refrigerated Lockers
Grocery and meal delivery kits are one of the hottest new services on the market; if you work in an apartment or other residential facilities, then you might have noticed an increase in these types of deliveries. Since many of these deliveries include perishable items, they can be an even bigger headache than regular packages especially if you're still using manual systems. Many of these applications have found a solution in computerized grocery pickup refrigerated and freezer lockers in apartments, universities, and student housing in Austin, College Station, Bryan, San Marcos, Temple, Brenham, and throughout the state of Texas. Computerized Parcel Storage Lockers
Computerized pickup lockers are designed to make the delivery and retrieval process much easier and more secure for package room employees, delivery staff, and recipients.
With traditional package delivery, staff members typically spend a lot of time logging and organizing deliveries. These packages end up taking up valuable floor space and could remain there for a long time if a recipient forgets to pick it up or can't retrieve it during regular office hours. If packages are delivered to the recipient's door, there is the risk of the package being stolen or lost. Most residents would undoubtedly prefer a delivery system with tracking and security measures to keep their items visible at all times even if they're away from home. Lastly, it can be difficult to impossible to store perishable items that need to be refrigerated until the recipient can pick them up. But with meal kit and grocery delivery, this need is only going to increase.
In addition to computerized delivery lockers, you can now include refrigerated and freezer lockers with your solution. The computerized locker banks can combine dry storage and refrigerator compartments, which can be electronically set to cold or freezing temperatures depending on the package. Staff members don't need to handle the parcels at all.
Once the package arrives, the deliverer scans the barcode using the locker bank touchscreen. Then they select the recipient and a locker size, and a compartment is automatically assigned and opened for the package. When the package is deposited, a text or e-mail is automatically sent to the recipient to notify them of the delivery.
The recipient receives a code to access the specific locker compartment and can pick up the package at any time, even outside of business hours, while ensuring that their package remains safe and temperature-controlled. And the refrigerated lockers are monitored in real time to ensure that temperatures are always within range.
