Parks & Recreation Department Storage
Municipal parks and recreation departments usually need to store large numbers of rakes, shovels, saws, and other oddly-shaped items that are difficult to efficiently organize on shelving, especially with limited budgets and space. A wide variety of parks and recreation department storage systems are available for efficiently storing tools, rakes, shovels, and more in less space.
Types of Tool Storage
High density shelving in powered or mechanical-assist operations can be used for storing a wide variety of tool types and other items that are difficult to fit on regular shelves. This shelving also saves space by eliminating the need for static aisles, and instead only requires one or two movable aisles that can be accessed with the push of a button. Almost any type of shelving or racks can be mounted on the mobile carriages to accommodate your exact needs, such as heavy-duty cantilever shelves. One parks and recreation department utilized two engineered-to-order solutions to optimize their tool storage. 22-inch deep cantilever shelving stored buckets, crates, and other bulky items. Another two-pronged bracket was installed at a pitched angle to store hanging tools, and a heavy-duty steel pegboard was used as backing.
Roll-down locking security doors are also available in front-mount or top-mounted configurations to ensure that tools are securely stored when not in use. And since the doors aren't hinged, they don't need extra space in front to allow them to swing out into the aisle. The doors are available in widths up to 10'-6" and heights up to 10'-4" and are available with motorized remote control operation. Click here to buy roll-down doors online.
