It allowed for the mechanical systems featured overhead to be avoided. Increased storage was also provided for in such a way that may not have been possible with one of standard carriage height. Extra grout was applied to ensure the floor surface was level. Carriages were also completely assembled, prior to their arrival at the site. This resulted in substantial time saving when it came to installation.
