The ordering of 200 more clean and dirty uniform exchange lockers with limited access maintenance doors was put through at the request of an international automotive manufacturer. Considered a repeat order, the innovative storage systems were installed after a successful previous order. A total of 400 units, double the number featured in the re-order, were requisitioned at the time of the original order. Clean & dirty uniform exchange lockers intended for security maintenance & added functionality

The intended purpose for these clean and dirty uniform exchange lockers was to maintain security while increasing functionality for personnel, including production and maintenance staff. Staff from both departments were required to have access to the same locker unit. However, total access was not essential for members of maintenance. This is because much of what they were responsible for was primarily centered around the efficient storage and retrieval of attire. As such, access to just a portion of the lockers would fit their needs just fine.

To ensure employees of the maintenance department were not given complete access to the clean & dirty uniform exchange lockers or its contents, each unit’s full-size door was subsequently adapted to accommodate a small “closest” within its interior. It allows for maintenance personnel to swap out attire quickly and efficiently to save time (which leaves more room for productive tasks) without having to bother accessing the entire unit. 

With security well provided for, production personnel are able to store items of a personal nature within what’s left of the locker with limited access maintenance doors. Lockers were also designed as single-wide and triple-wide units, with the triple-wide locker connected as a single unit, to satisfy layout needs of the client. Each are equipped with shelves and hooks to help employees keep personal belongings well organized.
