How an automated vertical roll carousel system for vinyl works

automated vertical roll carouselAn automated vertical roll carousel system for storing, displaying and cutting vinyl works in much the same way you would expect if you were using it to store paint cans or print cylinders. This is because they all use the same basic operation, a push button. And, when it is engaged, carriers for each rotate up and down to deliver material at an ergonomic height compatible with its operator. It contributes to the conservation of floor space by utilizing space from overhead, while also allowing maximum storage within a limited footprint to be provided for. Six steps to operating automated vertical roll carousel cutting bar

There is, however, one feature the automated vertical roll carousel system for storing, displaying and cutting vinyl has that the others do not. An integrated cutting bar with counter and re-roller. The measuring, cutting and re-rolling of prepared vinyl directly from the system is allowed to be handled by a single operator as a result. The cutting bar simply could not allow any of this to happen, without the inclusion of these features:

  • Approved and certified counter
  • Crank operated bi-directional cutter
  • Cut length support cradlee
  • Easy to operate controls
  • Patented hinge arm loading device
  • Patented re-roller bar system

It is safe and easy to use. All you need to do to work the cutting bar is follow these six steps:

  1. Set the vinyl into position by pulling it across the cutting bar, then clip the easy to use re-roller bar
  2. Lower the counter assembly next, then set the counter to zero
  3. Once the counter is set, turn the crank to roll and measure the length of vinyl desired
  4. After it has been dispensed, lower the hold-down clamps located at both ends of the cutting surface
  5. Turn the cutter crank, un-clamp the vinyl and secure the dispensed roll with tape or shrink wrap when you’re ready to cut
  6. Swinging the self storage roll cradles in place, dropping the roll onto the cradles and removing the re-roller bar from the end of the vinyl will allow for safe and efficient removal of dispensed rolls
