Each can be modified to accommodate changes in inventory or to rearrange collection items at any time.
Adjustable A-frame book display storage for greater adaptability
A fair number of the units have end panels made of steel, which are painted to match its frame and shelves. The units slated to be used as adjustable A-frame book display storage and included at the front entrance of the library, however, were fitted with custom end panels. Each was made of wood veneer stained to match existing wood in the building. The steel end panels used are easily removed and replaced upon request, allowing even greater adaptability. Casters are also attached at the units’ base. They help facilitate ease of movement when needing to relocate the shelves to another location within the library. Signage is also featured at the top of each unit. It was created with the help of two brackets and an aluminum protruding channel for the purpose of holding pivotal signage in place.
