Three Types of Box Storage Shelving To Maximize Space

Maximizing space in your office is something that gets talked about frequently, but all too often action is never taken because many people have no idea where to start or what to change to make better use of their space. One of the best places to start is with your inactive box storage area. If you have record boxes piled up, stacked in corners, or falling over in the basement, then we have three types of box storage shelving units that will get your record boxes organized. And getting record boxes organized to maximize space will help reduce offsite storage costs.

1. Stationary Box Storage Shelving Units

If your record boxes are stored on the floor stacked three, four, or five high, then stationary storage shelving units are a great solution. The units are designed to perfectly store standard letter/legal record boxes so there is almost no wasted space in between them. Stationary box storage shelving will eliminate stacks of record boxes and keep them organized off the floor and free from water or insect damage.

2. Sliding Box Storage Shelving Units

Sliding box storage shelving units work great in almost any situation – small spaces, large storage rooms, big or small budgets – pretty much anywhere. Sliding storage shelving units are stationary units with sliding shelving in front on tracks. The units are designed with one less unit in the front row so the rest of the units can move back and forth, which gives you access to the units in the back.

high density storage shelving units for storing record boxes

3. High Density Storage Shelving Units

For larger applications, high density shelving is the best solution for maximizing box storage space. High density shelving mounts rows of shelving onto rolling carriages that compact together to remove all but one or two access aisles. Most inactive box storage areas only need one or two access aisles because the activity is low. Eliminating access aisles in stationary shelving configurations will recoup a tremendous amount of space.
