High density racks are a space saving storage system. Rows of racks, shelves, cabinets, and shelving are installed on top of a wheeled chassis to roll back and forth on floor tracks creating movable aisles and maximizing floor space. Also known as movable aisle compact shelving, static access aisles are replaced with movable aisles that can be opened when needed to access stored materials. The wheeled carriages and rows of racks move either by a manual hand crank functionality or an automatic push button feature.
