Vertical Lifts Save Space and Are Easy to Use

Mattresses and all types of beds – including hospital beds, stretchers, gurneys, and cots – can be stored on the vertical lifts. The lifts extend vertically instead of horizontally to take advantage of this typically unused space. And the vertical lifts are offered in 2, 3, 4, and 5 high units so that you can use them in any area.

How One Company Used Vertical Lifts for Storing Mattresses & Beds

plan drawing of vertical lifts storing beds in less floor spaceA company that does repair and storage work for hospitals needed a solution for storing beds and mattresses in their warehouse. Lack of space for beds and the time it took to store the mattresses were the driving forces behind the project.

Previously, beds were stored in any available space all over the warehouse. And mattress were stored in bulk shelves. Workers would have to deflate the mattresses, roll them up, put them in bags, and then put them on shelves. When the mattress was needed, they would have to repeat the process all over again.

To solve their space problems storing beds, 20 4-high vertical lifts were installed. Now, the beds take up less space and are all in one centralized location. More vertical lifts were installed for the mattresses, which can now be kept fully inflated to save time.
