Law Firm Needs Solution for Storing Active Files
A century-old law firm, specializing in several areas of public, private and business law, consolidated offices and moved into a new building. The firm needed to improve their storage methods and design a filing system that aesthetically blended into their new, upscale space. The firm also need to allocate enough space for active files and newly acquired files, of which there are over 1,500 coming in each year. They selected a powered mobile shelving system with custom wood end panels to satisfy their requirements for centralized file storage.
Powered Mobile Shelving Centralizes File Storage
The firm needed a new storage system that was space efficient yet very easy to use. Previously the firm stored records in file cabinets and lateral files located throughout the office. This was one of the biggest reasons the firm chose powered mobile shelving. The mobile system is now centrally located in the main hallway on the 3rd floor where the firm's 27 attorneys and 37 non-attorney staff can easily access the new central filing area on a regular basis.
Powered Mobile Shelving is Safe and Aesthetically Pleasing
With open-access filing being an office standard, safety was paramount. The powered mobile shelving system's safety sweep, aisle entry sensors and a manual safety reset button are the best in the industry and have proven reliable time and again for the law firm.
When designing the new office, the firm had a goal of creating a non-threatening environment that projected a professional, yet homey feel. The offices were finished with rich oak wood details and the powered mobile shelving system was designed to enhance and blend into the environment. The system's face panels were custom built with raised wood panels in matching oak wood and finishes.
