The company found that building separate wire partitioned rooms using secure wire cage fences accomplished their security goals, as well as being a more economical solutions for their budget. The wire partitions are easy to assemble and relocate without creating a lot of dust in the data center storage area. Secure Wire Cage Fence Design Components and Wire Partition DetailsThe wire partitions are made of 10 gauge wire, woven into a 2″ x 1″ rectangular mesh design. This wire mesh is then framed in a 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″ x 1/8″ angle frames. Typical wire cage fences are 8′ to 12′ high but can extend up over 20′ high, or you can secure the wire cages with a wire partitioned ceiling. Doors for wire cages are available in hinged and sliding types. The network communications company installed a locking 3′ wide by 7′ high hinged door for personnel traffic at one end of their caged area, and a locking 6′ sliding door at the opposite end to allow larger server and computer equipment to be brought into the area with a pallet jack.
