Vertical Lifts with Stainless Steel Trays Promote Cleanliness
With the extension of the hospital and growing number of patients, nurses would need roughly four hours per shift to pick and distribute items such as gloves, injection materials, linens, gowns, etc. To save space and time, the hospital’s goal was also to reduce the amount of stored items in their inventory.
The vertical lifts are 82 feet tall with 5 access openings across 5 floors. Each opening includes LED pointers and is equipped with 125 stainless steel trays and dividers for enhanced hygienics. Ten locations sizes were defined to accommodate each size of goods and each item is allocated to a specific location size. The lifts also integrate with the hospital’s ERP in addition to 100% operational security due to two backup PCs. Handheld devices allow staff to easily find what they need within the lift.
