Kardex Remstar carousels contain a series of vertical file shelves or drawers that rotate like a Ferris wheel for easy retrieval and storage at the push of a button. Carousels make use of previously wasted overhead air space with their vertical design, and can store all types of parts and media including top tab and side tab files, binders, computer media, supplies, microforms, and more. Carousels also have locking features to ensure that files are secured from unauthorized access. They can be controlled by an electronic keypad or interfaced with records management software for automated transactions. Heights are available from 8′ to 12′ and widths from 4′ to 11′.
Carousels are also ADA, OSHA, and UFAS regulations compliant because they deliver stored files to an adjustable ergonomically-placed work counter. This minimizes or even eliminates bending, twisting, and lifting motions that can cause injury and provide easy operation regardless of the user.
