Bank Saves Space and Protects Employees with Push Button Electric File Shelving

The infrared safety sensor on the push button file shelving

A local branch of an Arkansas bank was looking for a more efficient system for storing mortgage file folders in their new building. Their mortgage files were stored in four-drawer and five-drawer lateral file cabinets and the bank wanted a more space efficient system for the new facility. Southwest Solutions Group’s local sales manager Justin Story helped them design a new Push Button Electric File Shelving system. The Push Button Electric File Shelving allowed the bank to devote less building space to storage and gave them extra safety features to protect employees when accessing files. Electric File Shelving for storing the bank's mortgage file folders

Push Button Electric File Shelving Stores More Mortgage Files in Less Floor Space

The Push Button Electric File Shelving stores 665 feet of mortgage files (the equivalent of 47 five-drawer lateral file cabinets) in a space that would only hold 15 five-drawer lateral file cabinets. The bank loves the ability to store record file boxes on the shelves too. The Push Button Electric File Shelving stores more files in less floor space by storing files in seven-high shelving units that compact together to save space. The file shelving system uses a floating access aisle that is created when and where needed by pushing a button. The Electric File Shelving is equipped with state-of-the-art infrared safety sensors located at the front of the access aisles that prevents the system from operating when a person or object is in an open aisle.
